These days, Lonzo Ball, Lavar Ball, and the Big Baller Brand aren’t nearly as talked about as they were a few months back. Lavar is still as vocal as ever, but thankfully ESPN and other news sources have decided other figures are more newsworthy. Since being drafted as a top pick in this year’s NBA Draft, LonzoBall, the oldest of the Ball “children”, is in a great position to succeed. He’s officially the starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers and has the full support from many athletes.
With so many recent positives moves, his anticipated professional debut weekend did not go quite as well as he’d probably have liked. The Lakers kicked things off with a loss to the Clippers, 108-92, and the 19-year-old rookie sat on the bench for the fourth quarter. Thanks to Patrick Beverley and his defensive pressure, the struggle was real for Lonzo Ball. Scoring just three points and accounting for a few costly turnovers, Ball filled up the stat sheet in a few other areas. He does show rebounding and passing skills, both of which make him “worthy” of being a first-round pick in our opinion.
