Lil Tecca Brings the Best out of San Diego Following Performance: Recap

Lil Tecca’s Recent Performance Brings the Best out of SOMA San Diego

Lil Tecca lit up the stage on Thursday night with his stellar performance. With his return to San Diego the crowd did not hold back with an experience to remember. This was my first time attending a Tecca show and as someone who is familiar with his music, seeing it live amplified the listening experience.

Opening artists Rich Amiri and SoFaygo did a good job warming up the crowd and intensifying the energy for Tecca’s headlining performance.

If you have never been to a Lil Tecca concert like myself you can expect a lot of fans to be there and energy that doesn’t decline as the night goes on. Popular songs of his including Ransom, 500lbs, and Lot of Me, are in itself enough to power the crowd of any venue being played.

The Lil Tecca Experience

The dimming of lights with the fog on stage quickly had fans yelling with excitement. Opening up with Yves the crowd quickly matched the lyrics and began singing with him. Tecca started off the show strong and increasingly upped his energy. He possesses rap qualities but throws in hints of r&b as a singer that complements him as an artist.

Some highlights throughout the night were interactions between artist and fan. Tecca talking to the crowd in between songs made it feel like a more personal experience. The consistency of so many fans singing along word for word during each song showed me how much these people in attendance enjoy what he creates.

Personal Thoughts on Tecca

He’s a talented artist who can sustain a career if he maintains his current passion. Covering his show let me capture the emotion and love he pours into his music.

Since discovering him in 2019 through his collaboration with Cole Bennett on “Ransom,” he has significantly evolved as a musician. This showed during Thursday night’s live performance.
