Seattle and Tacoma Connect Through Lewie and Mafi D On “Sir Mix Alot” Music Video

Seattle and Tacoma may share the same airport, but they can also be two completely different worlds. The talent out of the Tac has been undeniable to those in the know, but Seattle often gets the shine due to being the “bigger market” to those outside of the region. Today we’re blessed to see two of the hottest artists from both respective cities connect on wax with Lewie and Mafi D in the “Sir Mix Alot” music video.

“Sir Mix Alot” is the second single of Lewie’s upcoming debut album. The first song “God’s Fashion” is setting the tone for what fans can expect but connecting Hill Top and Central District for this second single is something extra special for the PNW. We’ve long reported on how street hip-hop is overlooked in the area but both Lewie and Mafi D have built impressive fan bases for their music without much assistance from traditional local platforms.

This record really follows the pocket that Lewie has been delivering as of late with the soft guitar and moving bass in the beat. Mafi truly matches the vibe Lewie brings to complete a super cohesive record. This is definitely something you could play on repeat for a few plays. Don’t sleep.

“No this ain’t Sir Mix Alot, we be in the mix a lot.”
