Tacoma’s Lewie has supplanted his spot as one of the city’s true up-and-comers and his latest track “Broken Soul” is a testament to that. Featuring Chicago native Calboy, “Broken Soul” is easily (IMO) his best song to date.
Following his 2018 breakout tour with Lil Mosey, Lewie has built up a legit fanbase and is due to be one of the next up from the Northwest hip-hop community. His ability to sing and rap in order to create fresh melodies is what fans love the most about him. He puts that on full display with Calboy in “Broken Soul.”
Rapping about his early life and growing up through hard times out in the streets, we take a look back at Lewie’s past. A dark ballad presented with a smooth presence that creates an story like atmosphere for the listener.
Lewie hasn’t been doing this completely on his own as his group MKF has become some of the most streamed artists in the Northwest since 2017. Alongside other acts such as Mack Murda and Rozay, Lewie is poised for mainstream success with “Broken Soul” proving to be another major step in the right direction.
