Nefariously catchy New York City-based garage rock, punk wave, electronica artist Les Techno just dropped his latest single “Come Along.”
Ignoring the unforgettably dull but still amusing advice of a certain “knowledgeable” A&R man that Les once knew: “You know, genre mixing in this business is dangerous,” Les continues to combine, mix, and distort the standard music genres with skill, cunning, and pride.
Les gained a lot of his experience playing in bands such as “Sim-Stim” and “Love Posse.” He is known to use a combination of guitar, analog synthesizers, and reel to reel tape machines, in order to create his unique brand of 80’s-esque sound.
Les bears similarities to artists such as Bowie, Nick Cave, P-furs, and XTC. One of his prominent accolades includes his track “Where Were You?” which was featured on Detroit’s WRIF “Underground Sound System.”
Les Techno – Come Along
Closing, I’ll leave you with a quote from a recent blog on AlternativeNation which I found to pretty well describe Les Techno’s unorthodox instrumental methods in tracks like ‘Come Along.’
“With each left turn and unexpected piece of his mad-scientist approach to creating timeless, cutting music, you’re left craving one more hook or one more fantastic lyric. And time and time again, Techno one-ups himself.” – AlternativeNation.com
