Leo, the 22-year old singer from New York City sat down with Respect My Region to discuss his latest track “Secrets”, which features renown music artist, Levi Bent-Lee. The two artists have seen tremendous success since the release of the official video. From getting their own billboard in Times Square, to watching their new video roll over 300,000 views.
The Albanian-American born individual has been making waves since the age of 10. Thanks to his father, he talks about the impact he’s had on his musical career growing up and more. RMR: Congratulations on the release of “Secrets” featuring Levi Bent-Lee!
Leo: Thank you very much! I appreciate you guys reaching out for this interview.
RMR: How was it working on the song together?
Leo: It was dope! I reached out to Levi via Instagram and asked if he liked the record, he immediately hit me back and wanted to jump on it. After a couple of weeks, he sent back his verse and absolutely killed it. It wasn’t so much an in-studio together moment, but the chemistry between us was there.

RMR: Ever since the release, have you been getting the feedback you hoped for?
Leo: 100% what I was hoping for. It’s really cool to see how many people love the track. I’m just grateful that the fans love it and they appreciate the hard work. It’s been extremely uplifting and inspiring, and it motivates me to do even more. Countless messages and comments, it’s truly a blessing.
RMR: Is it true you reached out through direct message to connect and work with Levi Bent-Lee?
Leo: Hahaha, yes, it is! I didn’t know him personally at the time but I loved his music and his vibes. I thought he would suit the track perfectly. I’m happy I did; w
RMR: If reaching out through direct message worked once, would you consider doing it again with another artist to repeat what you were able to accomplish?
Leo: It’s so few and far between. I feel that the likelihood of someone reaching back is so low, but you never know. I’d try it again if necessary because you never know what could happen.
RMR: If you could work with anyone in the industry who would it be?
Leo: The one person I’d love to work with right now is Justin Timberlake. JT, if you ever come across this
RMR: Who was the first person to introduce you to music as a child?
Leo: My father, big shout out to my dad for all of the music lessons and for teaching me so much about it. He was a musician when he was younger, packing out venues in his hometown at 12 years old. The guy was a rockstar from the start. Ever since he first showed me his tracks, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. Unfortunately, he came to the states for a better life and had to forego h
RMR: At what point did you come up with the idea of pursuing music as a career?
Leo: When my father told me about his passion for it, I immediately knew that’s what I wanted to do. After that, I purchased my first microphone and interface and got to work!

RMR: If you aren’t making hit songs, what can Leo be found doing for fun?
Leo: Haha! Leo is working on music 24/7 but other than that, I’m with my friends or family. I’m spending as much time with them now as possible because I know things will change soon. I’m trying to cherish the moments. If it’s not that though, I’m 100% playing soccer. Staying active and keeping fit. If the body isn’t healthy, the mind isn’t and the music isn’t. Have to stay active!
RMR: What could we expect from you in the next couple of months to come?
Leo: More and more music. I have a special record coming with DJ Zack Martino and some heat for the summer time! Can’t wait to premiere the records and the videos. I’m super excited for what 2019 has in store for me.
