Rap music and cannabis are two intersecting industries whose impact on each other continuously changes the culture and lifestyle of its followers. That’s why when rappers collaborate with cannabis brands, we at Respect My Region pay attention. The Lacville 79 strain by The Bakerie is one strain that perfectly matches the persona and vibe of the rap legend it was made for.
The Lacville 79 is a three-way hybrid Indica strain dominated by its Gelato and OG parents. The lineage of the strain should result in creamy flavors and a floral smell. The strain was made in collaboration with Devin The Dude, resulting in a powerful smoke and potent high.
In this official Taste Test Review, @JoeyJayPing and Justin from Medmen find out if this weed lives up to its hype.
First Impressions
The most notable aspect of the Lacville 79’s appearance is its dense layer of trichomes. This is one of those strains that will leave crystals on your fingers.
Something that Justin really appreciated about the Bakerie strain was the fact that it wasn’t dry at all. Although packaged in a Mylar bag, this strain screamed of freshness.
The Smoke Session
The aromas of the Lacville 79 are floral but skunky. The first hit brings flavors of pine and earth with hints of creamy sherbert from the Gelato shining through.
As far as the harshness of the smoke, Joey and Justin experienced none. This strain smoked smooth through and through. The potent effects of the strain will hit people differently. Experienced smokers may feel a heavy yet functional body-high, while novice smokers may couch-locked for the night.
Overall, both Joey and Justin thoroughly enjoyed this strain. Their experience with the Lacville 79 led them to give the strain a score of 9.75 out of 10.
