Kurvana came into California’s legal cannabis market in 2014 and has been providing uncompromising products ever since. Through a firm belief in providing an experience true to the strain, they’ve seen success through their full-spectrum extracts. Ph.D. scientists and engineers led Kurvana’s team to find the perfect proprietary extraction process. This process maximizes purity while preserving the plant’s phytochemical fingerprint.
When I first came to California almost two years ago, I found Kurvana’s products to be some of the most flavorful. Today I’m reviewing their Dutch Treat full spectrum cartridge that has cannabis-derived terpenes.
What stood out about Kurvana to me years ago was their commitment to using cannabis-derived terpenes. The addition of the strain’s real terps allows for the strain-specific experience I’m always looking for with cartridges. I chose their Dutch Treat strain to review because I’m extremely familiar with this hallmark strain; and it’s my favorite. I knew exactly what I was looking for when it comes to flavor and overall experience.
The packaging for Kurvana’s Dutch Treat cart with cannabis-derived terpenes is labeled “ASCND” and notes the flavors as being pine, sweet, and citrus. The box read: “sweet pine following a citrusy aftertaste results in quick cerebral effects for relaxing the mind.”
There’s a terpene profile on the back also known as the “Kurvanascope,” that also shows the screen summary. The primary terpenes listed are terpinolene, myrcene, and ocimene. There’s definitely no lack of information present on Kurvana’s packaging, which is impressive.
First Impressions
After opening up the sleek box that the cartridge came in I screwed it onto my Vessel battery and chose a lower heat setting. I took my first full pull and it was incredibly smooth. The main flavors I was tasting were pine and citrus, but on the tail-end of the exhale I picked up the terpinolene. The sweet and sour flavor brings together what I expect a Dutch Treat extract to taste like. I felt a refreshing surge of energy as the effects quickly took over and a wave of relief wash over my body.
Conclusions
On my second rip, it became clear that I could taste all three flavors I was looking for. The pine, citrus, and sweet and sour notes I was looking for came through in a big way. Kurvana really goes the extra mile to provide extensive information on their packaging and what’s inside doesn’t disappoint. This product checks off most boxes for me and is deserving of a 9.75 out of 10.
