Greg Cypher and Eff Is H are Kung Foo Grip and Kung Foo Grip is holding it the f**k down. The new album 2KFG is out and its fire. Alongside legendary Seattle producer Keyboard Kid, the KFG boys have officially dropped their best project to date, 2KFG.
There has never been a question around “if” Greg and Eff could rock a show, rap, or keep people entertained. Their last offering, Concrete Waves may cater to a more traditional hip-hop route. 2KFG caters to everyone. Catchy melodies, trapped out ad libs, and melodic flows are abundant without lacking true substance.
Keyboard Kid has made a name as a pioneer of the Based movement, pushing the envelope and flat out being creative. On this album, I really feel as if KFG pushed Kid to a new place. His vibed out sound rides per usual but Greg and Eff really provide an element to his production that I’ve yet to hear.
The two forces collide beautifully on this album. The production on the album provides the sonic realm for them guys to be themselves. Moments of joyful celebration meet moments of tumultuous reality. All during a celebration of rolling kicks and fun.
