I have stated it before, I’m not really a big fan of EDM music. Especially the mainstream dubstep type shit, that makes your ears feel like they’re bleeding. In the past, my friends have definitely shown me some cool house and dance hall stuff that I have enjoyed, but never got into. But since I’ve been surrounded by electro-heads here at RMR I’m trying to expand my horizons. This track, Hard to Feel, by Kody Ryan is download worthy to me.
I’m a sucker for hand drums, so the beat caught my attention immediately. His haunting voice reminisces on previous relationships.
Most of the song revolves around reflecting on that sadness and then embracing that self defense mechanism that we do as humans in 2017 when we just turn off, to not feel anything at all.

Even though the song is about an empty lack of emotion numbness, the emotion within the song isn’t hard to feel. The down tempo eerie vibe is perfect for the dark autumn weather. Turn this on and stare out the window while the raindrops drip down the pane.
