The first time I saw Kendrick Lamar was at the Kube Summer Jam back in 2012. During those glory Summer Jam days, I was able to see many of my favorite artists including Big Sean, Kid Ink, J.Cole, Trey Songs, and Big K.R.I.T. Now, more than five years later, Lamar is cemented into the conversation for best rapper alive alongside the likes of J.Cole, Eminem, and in my opinion, Big Sean.
With Kendrick having a major performance in Seattle this Spring, the entire Pacific Northwest needs to show up and show out in order to prove that Washington’s rap culture is up to par.
