Following a string of June releases to heat up the summer, Kanye West has shared a new track titled “XCTY.” While releases by Kanye are anything but the ordinary, the release of his latest song might be the strangest yet as it was dropped through a WeTransfer link. The song can be downloaded here.
It’s unclear why this song dropped as it doesn’t belong to any particular project. In addition, it’s unlikely that it would be a stand alone single for an upcoming project due to the string of albums that were release barely two months ago. According to DJ Clark Kent, Kanye told him to “let that new ‘XTCY’ joint go” while in the studio.
It wouldn’t be a Kanye West song without controversial lyrics, and he brings nothing less to the table in the new release. He admits that he “would smash” all of Kim Kardashian’s sisters with lines “You got sick thoughts? I got more of ’em/ You got a sister-in-law you would smash? I got four of them.”
