Joey Kash continues to evolve and grow as an artist, taking a new approach with his ninth studio album Luchini. Entirely produced by TeekPunch, Luchini has a more Mafioso theme. It’s a hard-hitting nine-track project, powered by fan favorites such as, “I Know It Was You Fredo.”
Possessing a grimier and more punctual style, Joey Kash keeps it real and doesn’t rely on hyped up bravado to get attention. Instead, he simply lays it down in the studio and lets his music do the talking. Like a Mafia boss would, Kash comes with a swag on this album like he knows he’s the boss in his city. He holds the entire album down on his own with no features. Kash is one of Seattle’s purest MCs in the underground game.

Joey Kash Is All About His ‘Luchini’
On Sunday, Joey Kash dropped the video for “I Know It Was You Fredo,” shot by local director, Landoe Lamont. The video is clean with nice transitions and that night-time aesthetic that mafia bosses thrive in. The track itself reminds you of some Griselda, or even The Game in his early years. It won’t blow you away with a catchy flow or speedy rapping, but the wordplay and presentation are on point with every line making an impact.
Out to get that bread, Luchini is Joey Kashs’ latest run at proving he’s “next up,” as all aspiring artists want to be. He possesses a level of consistency that is key for breaking into the music industry. Already, he’s built up a solid foundation in Seattle and the greater Pacific Northwest area.
Check out Joey Kashs’ full album, Luchini, below, and let us know which track was your favorite. Are you on board with “I Know It Was You Fredo” like the majority of fans? Or are you digging another track off the album even more?
