If you follow our site, you probably already know that we have a soft spot for rappers from Eastern Washington. Mitch, one of the company’s Founders and RMR’s current CEO, was raised in Ellensburg and produced or engineered music with countless artists on the east side of Washington state. Since we first started RMR, the Tri-Cities rap community has grown immensely over the last few years and we’ve seen artists like JKU$H DA HU$TLER and Hype LaFlare capitalize on the area’s strong passion for hip-hop culture.
Both artists just released “Tri Raq” which has 14 tracks including features from Warholss, Cholo G, and Illest Uminati. Production wise, the producers on the project include the likes of Ron Ron, Ace The Face, DJ Flippp, along with Yakima’s DreStillPoppin.
J-Ku$h shared that their 4/20 released project was called “Tri-Raq” because of how much violence has been happening throughout the Tri-Cities. The “Tri” describes the three areas of Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland. Although some of the violence receives coverage, oftentimes the community’s stories go unheard. Check out J-Ku$h, 2Quick, and Hype LaFlare’s visual for “Wet” below. “Tri Raq” is available on all major streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, and more.
