Throughout the entirety of his career, J. Cole has operated under his label Dreamville Records and for the first time ever he’s announcing the Dreamville Festival. J. Cole himself will be headlining alongside Big Sean, Nelly, SZA, and Young Thug. In addition, there are many other artists that are planning to perform that include Rich The Kid, Bas, Teyana Taylor, and more. 2018 Dreamville Festival Lineup
While many people are familiar with the larger artists headlining the festival, there are some highly talented up and coming artists on the lineup as well that deserve extra attention. Check them out below!
Bas
Bas is one of the most successful artists on Dreamville Records. Originally based in New York, the Queens rapper is one of the hottest up and coming artists in the world of hip-hop. He’s released three full length albums to date, including his most recent album Milky Way that was released at the end of August. Check it out here.
Cozz
Cozz is also a label mate on Dreamville Records along with J. Cole and Bas. Unlike some of the other signees, he is originally from Los Angeles. He’s most known for his hard hitting delivery with lyrics that punch right through the microphone. His debut project Cozz & Effect put him on the map and quickly made him a valued artist at Dreamville. He’s also dropped a new album Effected earlier this year. Check it out here.
J.I.D
Dreamville Records signed J.I.D back in 2017, which makes him one of the label’s most recent signees. Since 2014, he’s consistently released one full project per year in the form of a mixtape or album. Back in June, he was featured on XXL’s Freshman Class. He also has a new project dropping this fall, titled DiCaprio 2.
King Mez
Originally from Fort Campbell, KY, King Mez is most known for his work on Dr. Dre’s album Compton. With Dr. Dre being his first official co-sign, King Mez is now his right hand man with writing on various projects.
Omen
Based in Chicago, the Dreamville signee has released a few notable projects including his album Elephant Eyes. He appeared on J. Cole’s “2014 Forest Hills Drive” tour alongside Bas, Cozz, Big Sean, YG, and more.
Saba
Saba is an independent rapper from Chicago. He first blew up on the scene back in 2012 with his debut project titled GETCOMFORTable. He’s most known for working with Chance The Rapper, where he often collaborates with the fellow Chicago MC. His latest album Care For Me was released back in April. Check it out here.
