If you’ve never heard of the young Italian Producer I am Sid, this is your chance to learn about a prodigy in the making. Sid and I first came into contact over Facebook earlier this year on The Cult Of Rezz fan page. Drawn together by similar interests, we began talking music, industry, and artists.
The first track of Sid’s that caught my attention was a collaboration with GR∆X, titled Mandelbug, which was premiered by DJ Mag Italia and reached over one hundred thousand streams on Spotify. Right away, I was enticed by the cryptic vibe of the track, which Sid describes as “mixing a dark cinematic breakdown with a strong lo-fi drop.”
It didn’t take long before I was listening to all of Sid’s songs and supporting his music. What I dig about Sid is his original taste in production. With inspiration from artists such as Skrillex, Gesaffelstein, Madeon, Boys Noize and Porter Robinson, I am Sid’s music comes from a place of pure unfiltered passion.

My favorite thing about this track is that it does justice to the original hit made famous by Queen nearly forty years ago. It’s a reminder that, although our ability to make music is evolving, we haven’t forgotten what the music of that generation means to us, or what timeless music sounds like.
I am Sid is currently working on an EP where he launched a successful Indiegogo campaign to fund. Sid plans to drop his EP in April of 2018. Keep an eye out for this talented artist as he continues his rise in the musical world.
