Whether you’re blasting this from your speakers on your way to work or to some night actives, this song will channel your inner alter ego. So pop out and serve with this hot track.
“Steppas” – A Boogie Wit da Hoodie
Back in his bag, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie returns harder than ever in his new single, Steppas. Since his last album in 2020, Artist 2.0, Boogie has been touring and doing features with various artists and producers, including Metro Boomin, Nas, Lil Durk, and DJ Khaled. Now back in the booth, he pulls no brakes with his hard-hitting lyrics, satiny sound, and steady flow. This track might foreshadow what’s to come next in his career. “Don’t Check 4 Me” – Nascent, Duckwrth & Saba
The soft beat evokes a deep nostalgia, reminiscent of carefree days playing outside and hanging out with friends after school. It’s a soundtrack to growing up, transitioning from the simplicity of youth to the complexities of adulthood, and gaining responsibilities and wisdom along the way. The chorus’ lyrics, “Don’t check for me, unless you got a check for me,” feels all too relatable, resonating with those who’d prefer getting to the bag instead of being around fake company. Vibe out and chill with this calm track.
“Feel It” – D4vd
Dedicated to the shortlived romance of Invincible characters Mark and Amber, this upbeat love song is all the rave and more! “Feel It” is a fun and vibrant pop song reflecting glimpses of the characters’ relationship throughout the previous and latest season of Invincible. Check out these excellent visuals, and let us know what you think of it!
“DENiM” – IDK feat. Joey Bada$$
Next, we’re featuring DENiM, a track with the perfect blend of talent interwoven into its tapestry. IDK and Joey Bada$$ teamed up in the booth, creating an unforgettable chemistry. DENiM features a dynamic collaboration between IDK and Joey Bada$$, produced by Grammy winner Mario Luciano, Tae Beast, and Rascal. They sampled the gospel song “Lord I’m Coming Home” from the ‘A Faithful Spirit’ album by the Polyphonic Music Library. Each verse delivers a powerful impact, building in intensity with every line.
“Next Semester” – Twenty-One Pilots
Class is back in session with Twenty One Pilots! This rock song feels like waking up from a fever dream and preparing for a long journey. It’s relatable, loud, and as vibrant as the visuals. It’s like a cold splash of water – a sharp reminder of reality. Yet, it ends softly with a gentle acoustic sound. Start your day with this energizing song.”
“Make Friends” – Hiatus Kaiyote
Starting with bold, velvety vocals from singer/songwriter Nai Palm and keyboardist Simon Mavin, this wonderfully colorful single is as calm and breezy as a Sunday morning. Bassist Paul Bender also composed the ensemble. The Melbourne-based band Hiatus Kaiyote, most notable for “Red Room,” released the single “Make Friends,” which contains two versions of the song and their last single, Everything’s Beautiful. Stream this lovely track everywhere and play it on a sunny day or a cloudy afternoon.
“Lines” – BbyMutha
In Mutha, We Trust! That’s right, BbyMutha just dropped this punk track on her single Lines, and it’s all the rave the alt girlies have needed for a while. With its catchy chorus and unapologetically fierce lyrics, this single is one for the books and a definite banger to diversify your punk playlist. Check it out now on all streaming platforms!
“AMAMA” – Crumb
The underrated psychedelic band hailing from Brooklyn, NY Crumb, just released “Amama”, a precursor to the release of their album on May 17th. This was one of their most creative projects yet. Reputable for their trippy visuals and angelic vocals, the band collaborated with local artists to create each scene using various mediums. Some of the mediums included digital art, hand-drawn, and claymation. The mastery of unspoken artistry speaks volumes in this piece, creating a timeless composition from a community of creatives. The song was also dedicated to the lead singer, Lila Ramani’s grandmother- whose voice was also sampled throughout the song.
