Helena Legend is a British-born Australian electronic music producer based in Los Angeles, California. She has recently gotten my attention with her latest track, Right Here.
The beginning of this track honestly reminded me of Beyoncé or one of those similar pop artists that I’m not all too familiar with. Not to say that it was bad, just not the content that I usually cover. Although, I had a big change of heart around 46 seconds in. Little to my knowledge at the time, this song is a total slapper.

To my ears, the track is still somewhat pop, but with an unexpected drop that gives it the needed EDM kick for my short attention span to handle. This also creates a good diversity between the drop and the buildup, which makes each part of the song land a bit harder in comparison. I’d say that there is definitely a good slap aptitude, or ‘sl-aptitude,’ to this song. Enough for me to share the love.
