Groove Cruise: More Than a Festival on the Water
Are you free from October 19-24 and want to make memories with your rave fam that you can treasure forever? If so, Groove Cruise has updated their Norwegian Jewel ship and is set to sail from the West Coast to Cabo this year for The Ascension.
When aboard you’ll notice the excited attendees and their interpretations of the various fun themes of the week, including “Nauti Neon,” “Woke Up Like This,” “Rave to the Grave,” and more. So, bring a big suitcase of your favorite fits!
Lineup, Stages, & Parties
The Groove Cruise Cabo lineup is overflowing with energy and talent. The recognizable big-name talent includes artists like Green Velvet and Claude Vonstroke. Among them are underground artists making waves such as Desert Hearts, Gareth Emery, and Said The Sky. You can catch all the action from six special stages above and below deck. Meaning, rain or shine, it’s going to be party time.
Additionally, there will be several parties you can attend while cruising this October. For instance, you can attend the Taking Back Emo Party, Whet Oasis, Hood Politics, and Drum Circle parties this year.

Giving Back the Groove Cruise Way
The Whet Foundation, which heads the Groove Cruise experience, is no stranger to outreach initiatives and parties of this epic scale. In 2020, they oversaw a highly successful cleanup project, with a group consisting of 57 attendee volunteers and DJs in Costa Maya. With collected donations and volunteers, the Groove Cruise family made an impact on a local school; cleaning up an abandoned construction site to make room for a playground.
This year, volunteering attendees will have the chance to visit two facilities in Cabo San Lucas, Solmar Foundation and Heart4Cabo. During the trip, the organization will collect donations for the community, serve breakfast and interact with the children through live art, games, music, and costumes. You won’t want to miss out on this fun yet, rewarding experience for sure.
Furthermore, mental health awareness panels will also be available during your stay, headed by When the Music Stops and Ninobuni. In an interview with the founder of The Whet Foundation I found out that the addition of mental health focus was inspired by a recent and tragic loss to the team.
“Losing our friend and coworker was a shock and really opened our eyes to a need we felt had to be included in our trip this year. While many people come to our festivals as a fun trip, we also wanted to provide panels that can help people stay aware of the signs in themselves and others that could potentially save lives and open up more conversations about getting help.”

Cruise Requirements & Tickets
Groove Cruise isn’t requiring vaccinations or tests for Covid-19 for the trip to Cabo but will require unvaccinated guests to show a Negative Antigen or PCR test taken 72 hours prior to embarkation to be allowed to board. Learn more here.
