Green Velvet
Green Velvet has dabbled with techno throughout his career, but his signature Chicago House sound is unmistakable. He rapidly became a headliner of the Chicago EDM scene when he began his music career in the early 90s. “Answering Machine,” “Flash,” and “Preacher Man” were among his early banger hits. These are catchy, indisputably enjoyable records with simple vocal tag lines and a quick wit.

By the end of the decade, the DJ released his first album, meeting the canons of the 90s raves with industrial Constant Chaos. However, his 2001 album, Whatever, with the standout track “La La Land,” differed from his earlier music due to its punk-influenced yet playful sound. With the release of his next tech-house album, Walk In Love, Green Velvet slightly experimented with post-punk.
Besides studio albums the artist includes a slew of side projects and remixes as part of his ongoing creative production. Following the release of many EPs and mixtapes in the early 2000s, the DJ introduces his modern sound with the fourth album, Unshakable, released in 2013. His most recent single, “Moncheri,” was just released and is now available for streaming on all music platforms.
Green Velvet has established himself as one of the most reliable professionals of the electronic music scene. The techno music icon continues to travel the world over, performing at the most prominent venues and becoming a fan favorite on a worldwide scale.
