I’m pretty obsessed with chocolate. Chocolate that gets me high, don’t even ask. I can assure you I will always eat it. Portland, Oregon has some tasty edibles; especially the Grace Notes line of edibles from Sweet Cannabis. The Hurricane dark chocolate with rum and passionfruit helped me recover from my birthday celebration at Kelly’s Olympian when RMR took over the Thesis.
Grace Notes Hurricane Chocolate
Most adults can relate to the horrible feeling you experience the morning after a drinking bender. You go to sleep not too long before sunrise, only to wake up only a few hours later. You’re pretty sure that you’re still drunk but you get out of bed regardless and go about your day. All while knowing the inevitable hurricane of a hangover is looming overhead, ready to wreak havoc on your body.
Even though this chocolate was inspired by the 1940’s jazzy cocktail of the same name, it’s not quite the same hair-of-the-dog method. I have found the one-to-one ratio of CBD to THC edibles to be a much better cure for your hangover. When I’m hungover I know the car isn’t my friend, the drive home from Portland would take a few hours, I needed that chocolate.
I’ve always found cannabidiol to have a calming effect, whether it is my anxiety or an upset stomach from too much alcohol. CBD soothes the uneasy feeling and makes functioning bearable. With five milligrams of both CBD and THC, this chocolate was great for taking the edge off and making me feel a little wavy.
The tropical sweetness from the rum and passionfruit mixed well with the bitter dark chocolate. Grace Notes can send any and all non-infused samples my way because I’m down to eat an entire case of these chocolates.
