The Goldwyn Experiment, started by Boldwyn Thandrayen, just dropped their latest music video titled “Sad Boy.” Who is Boldwyn? Also known for his work in Psychocide, Goldwyn Thandrayen has been performing in bands since he was sixteen. Born and raised on the Island of Mauritius, off the coast of Madagascar, Goldwyn was an early fan of artists like Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, and Guns N’ Roses, emulating them in his early music. However, at that time, around 2005, rock and roll was still not mainstream in that area.
After graduating high school, he attended a jazz establishment in Florida called The Player School of Music.” Learning about jazz set his music in a new direction. After playing in a number of different bands of different genres, he eventually put together The Goldwyn Experiment in 2011, which has some similarity to artists like David Elfman, Faith No More, Frank Zappa, and The Doors.
The Rock, prog, jazz, pop fusion band went on to create a jazzy and ambient styled album titled Avenue A in 2016. Their coming album, Avenue B, is due to release in early November. Check out their latest video and follow The Goldwyn Experiment on Spotify to stay up to date on all their music.
