Gifted Youngstaz just dropped a classic hip-hop vibed record with “Mike Permanent.”
The soul sample infused backdrop was produced by Pad Scientist. The layout of the record features a more traditional sound with a straightforward hook on a beat change while Gifted sprinkles words around sampled chops on the verse.
The Seattle based artist has transcended simply by releasing music and is the music/art curator for the local monthly hip-hop show Stay Happy at the Central Saloon. Every first Thursday, artists gather to showcase their music (note to artists, get in touch with dude!).
Gifted Youngstaz – “Mike Permanent (Blue Pill)”
The record is one of the first singles from his upcoming EP Revenge Of The Iron Lung which is the follow up to his previous project Legend Of The Iron Lung. The golden era throwback sound featured production from Wizdumb, Akira Gautama, and Hekl the Mad Scientist.
So far, “Mike Permanent” shows a continuation of the same vibe created on the Iron Lung series but finds Gifted Youngtaz with a more full sound. We’re looking forward to hearing the series continue, stay tuned for the project and peep Legends below!
