What is Gelonade and why is it so dank? We asked this question months ago when we first caught wind of the sativa cultivar that was created by Connected Cannabis. After procuring an eighth during the West Coast Weed Tour, it’s safe to say the Gelonade strain made the long hours on the tour worth every ounce of energy spent.
Simple and bold packaging houses stout rocky buds. The incredibly dense texture houses an incredible aroma profile of sour lemon and orange. Tropical notes break through the surface once the flower passed through the grinder’s metal teeth. The terpenes permeated my soul and seemed to wake me up from just smelling the weed piled in my grinder.
Zesty orange flavors filled my mouth after every bong rip. The terpenes were evident through the entire smoking experience, which is one of the best indicators of well-grown cannabis. From the aromas stuck on your fingers to the terps bouncing off your lips, you can taste and smell Gelonade on its entire journey from the jar into your lungs.
That high. This is the truest “sativa” strain I’ve tried in some time. The high bubbled up kept the lights on well into the night. A calming cerebral focus wrapped around my brainstem and drove me through the day with militant intent. The Gelonade strain is the day time smoke you dream of working the day away with.
