Gary Vaynerchuk’s Cannabis Agency, Green Street, Merges with Green Spectrum and Bridge Distribution

As recreational cannabis continues to become a reality in the United States, many companies are seizing the opportunity to expand. Recently, Green Street announced a merger with cultivation group Green Spectrum as well as distribution company Bridge Distribution. Matt Bruhn, the former president of Pabst Brewing company will serve as CEO. After the merger, Green Street will be vertically integrated. This integration includes a license to cultivate, manufacture, distribute, and deliver cannabis in California.

With the help of Green Street’s co-owner, Gary Vaynerchuk, the brand is already a leading company in California’s cannabis market. For example, collaborations with artists such as Post Malone, 2 Chainz, and The Game, also work to strengthen Green Street’s brand. “I knew Green Street was going to continue to be a leader of the cannabis space after spending a bunch of time with Rama and Josh when I invested in them three years ago,” Vaynerchuk told Forbes.

New Green Street facilities

As part of the recent merger, Green Street is relocating to a new facility in downtown Los Angeles. Opening later this year, the 75,000 square-foot facility will house over 50 cannabis companies, a restaurant, and cannabis-friendly event space. Since 2012, Founders Rama Mayo and Joshua Shelton have been growing their company through licensing. “…Now we’re fully licensed and in complete control of our entire supply chain. This, together with Bruhn’s experience from his almost two decades as a leader at Diageo and tenure as president at Pabst, enables us to have a handful of top-selling cannabis brands,” says Mayo.

Furthermore, Green Spectrum’s cultivation facilities produce hundreds of pounds of premium flower every month. With the new merger, this flower will soon serve as Bridge Distribution’s main source of product. While operating in the United States’ largest cannabis economy, Green Street is looking forward to the future.

According to Brien Mo, co-founder at Bridge Distribution, “we couldn’t be more excited to be part of this new business. The quality of these brands along with high quality and consistent supply will allow our sales and distribution teams to spread and scale at a lightning pace. The co-working synergies between Green Street Brands and Bridge Distribution are well aligned and complementary.”
