Future, born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, is a major force in hip-hop, coming from Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in Kirkwood, he was introduced to the music industry through the Dungeon Family, earning the nickname “The Future.” His early exposure to Atlanta’s rap scene and the influence of his cousin Rico Wade from Organized Noize helped shape his distinct sound, blending melodic rap with trap beats.
Future’s impact on modern rap is significant, especially with his use of Auto-Tune and emotional lyrics. His debut album, *Pluto* (2012), introduced his futuristic style, and albums like *DS2* (2015) and *HNDRXX* (2017) cemented his place in rap.
