ZoZ Cannabis from out in Mount Vernon, WA takes extra care when growing any of their cannabis strains. Their flower usually comes out looking rich and crystally. One of the most prime examples of their efforts is their Flodu strain. This perfectly balanced hybrid strain came into existence by combining The White strain with Chemdawg. The result is a super-charged hybrid that emphasizes the relaxing, yet stimulating effects of cheesy, spicy terps that reek like diesel.
When I laid eyes on this strain I could already get a good idea of how it was going to affect me. It has the appearance of your classically potent hybrid strain. Vibrant green foliage with light orange pistils poking out in contrast. Rolling it between my fingers got them a bit sticky with resin, but not overly so. Squishing the nugs I could tell they were dense but easy to crack open. This is relatively easy weed to break down by hand and roll-up. But just sticky enough that I knew it was going to do the trick.
Busting open one of the nugs I immediately got a stronger whiff of the spicy and cheesy terp I know as caryophyllene. Hidden underneath that layer of cheese I could pick up notes of sweet floral citrusy goodness. This swirl of scents dancing around my nose gave me the inkling this strain would offer a sedative, yet pleasing cerebral that could amp up, or wind down any day. I made quick work of twisting this gas up into a king-size joint for my smoking pleasure.
When I was over halfway through the joint I could taste the spicy sweetness I was looking for. The musky spice was a bit stronger than I had thought it may be. Caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene are the dominant terpenes in both of the parent strains for the Flodu strain. If you consider this then the effects totally make sense. Solid potential for pain relief, relaxation, depression, and if you went through enough it’d probably make a nap sound great.
