Living in Washington I’ve had very limited opportunities to smoke cannabis from Oregon. Part of the West Coast Weed Tour sent us to Portland for an event. We stopped at Americanna RX to scope out their cannabis selection. I left with Triangle Kush from Eugreen. This indica is named after the three cannabis producing capitals of Florida according to Leafly.
My favorite strains are indica’s, especially after a long Monday. Perfect for unwinding on the couch enjoying Monday Night Football, unless it puts you to sleep. Oregon’s packaging lacks the visual appeal that Washington’s has. There are no flashy labels with graphics to draw your eye. Instead Oregon stores all their cannabis in large jars that give you the opportunity to smell and examine your weed before you purchase it. This process reminds me more of Washington’s medical days and visiting my dealer’s house to pick up.
Two nugs reside inside the sealed baggy used to hold the weed. They are light green in color with small remains of dark green leaves. The common dirt smell associated with Kush strains greets your nostrils. Each bud is dense, but not sticky at all. Each hit had subtle hints of orange combined with that traditional Kush flavor. My eyelids got heavy, my shoulders slouched down, and quickly the munchies hit. I wasn’t couch locked high, but I was high enough to slow down for a few. Eugreen does a great job at producing a high-quality Kush strain.
