The potency of the products from DNA Gardens has recently been brought to my attention. What first got my attention was the tastiness of their shatters and concentrates. I’ve seen some of their product around trade shows as well, but never sat down for a true evaluation. I recently got my hands on their Durban Poison, a strain I’m confident many are no stranger to. What immediately stuck out was the affordability of what I saw to be a proper treatment of the strain.
The glass my big sticky bud came in has sleek logoing, and only costs $12 a gram typically. When I got my first whiff of the nug it was extremely clear this was some gassy Durban Poison. Looking at it closely in the sunlight I saw ample trichomes with round heads lining every leaf inside and out. The pungeant sweet smell immediately arose when I broke the nug apart followed by the earthy undertone I know and love.
I twisted up a democratically sized joint of the Durban Poison and took my dog for a walk. As I lit it up I could taste the sweetness accompanied by a piney undertone as the gas flavor took over. A quick jaunt with my pooch and several caughs later, I found myself lit up like a goddamn Christmas tree. The high gave a nice warming effect on my body while amply energizing my brain activity. I came inside and quickly fell deep in to my writing and momentary internet rabbitholes. This is the kind of effect I hope for from one of the most classic sativa strains.
