Still buzzing from Anjunabeats vibes after ABGT250, fans of trance in Seattle are stoked on welcoming a classic duo, Gabriel & Dresden, as well as a new favorite in this ever-changing genre, Bryan Kearney, on Thursday, October 5th.
Gabriel & Dresden are celebrating the launch of their new album, The Only Road, which was thanks in part to a kickstarter page funded by fans last year. They’ve toured in over 40 countries around the world since 2001, spreading the most euphoric sound possible through minimal melodies and beats, including a phenomenal performance at Paradiso 2014, which I considered to be one of the best of that weekend.
Above & Beyond featured their track “This Love Kills Me” at ABGT250, which has been an earworm ever since! The track showcases their ability to incite complex, bittersweet feelings, which is what makes their sound so special.
Bryan Kearney (think “car-knee”) on the other hand has been incredibly busy these past few years building his reputation as a king of trance. He blew the roof off of WaMu for Bliss earlier this year, showcasing every facet of trance in his hour-long set, which is a feat that many DJs cannot even attempt. All around the world, crowds chant “Bryan! Bryan! Bryan fucking Kearney!”, and it has become a signature sound that lets you know where the party is. His sub-label Kearnage, under Subculture Records, has delivered incredible singles from the Irish man himself, as well as legends like Will Atkinson, Sneijder, and many more.
The fact that we have two incredible acts on the same stage outside of a festival should be enough to convince anyone free this Thursday to come out to Aston Manor. Each of these acts could easily sell out an intimate club setting on their own, but together in one night, one venue, one stage, means you should definitely grab your tickets now!
