Drake is back with a surprise album titled Honestly, Nevermind. The Canadian rapper has been hard at work since releasing Certified Lover Boy back in 2021. With a surprise full-length, it’s safe to say he’s proving a point that he’s at the top of his game. He’s dropping the project just in time for summer, and as a result, it is a must-listen for every fan. Surprisingly, the album is largely dance songs. You’ll find Drake crooning in auto-tune to a variety of club and house-type beats throughout.
Drake has been known to dip into many genres within his hip-hop roots including R&B, house, and dance music with previous releases. With his new project Honestly, Nevermind, he’s honed his sound around deep house beats that showcase his wide-ranging melodious vocals. In a unique way, the project portrays Drake in a very raw and honest form. In addition to the album, he’s already released a music video for his song “Falling Back.”

The album keeps the same energy from start to finish which truly offers a full experience for the listener. With his new album, Drake is stepping outside of his comfort zone and is fully locked in at the same time.
