Summer in Seattle is something truly special. Sprinkle in the vibrant music community and you have a recipe to make some remarkable memories. The Downtown Seattle Association has blended the beauty of our city parks in the summertime with the beauty of the music created around our region to make the Downtown Summer Sounds concert series. For the 2023 season, there are almost 40 concerts lined up to run from July 7 to September 8 and the best part is it’s completely free!
DSA President & CEO Jon Scholes commented, “Downtown Summer Sounds is a perennial crowd-pleaser and a boon to foot traffic downtown. This series draws thousands of people each year, benefiting our restaurants, retail stores, ground-level attractions and more.”
Downtown Summer Sounds Seattle Concert Series
Throughout the series, you can hang out all around the city from Westlake Park, Occidental Square all the way to Bell Street Park and more locations. There isn’t a concert every day, but there are multiple opportunities in any given week to see some amazing Northwest talents. Stand out artists include The Helio Sequence, Chong the Nomad, Small Paul, Cytrus, Breaks and Swells, Sea Lemon, Hollis, Shaina Shepherd, i///u, Acid Tongue, Greater Than, Daniel Pak, Jarv Dee, Terror Cactus and so many more.
If you plan on going to multiple concerts in the series, you can pick up a stamp card at the DSS umbrella that will be on-site. Once you attend six of the concerts and collect a stamp for each, you can return your card and be entered to win a stay at the Edgewater Hotel.
Bringing the community together is the main goal of the Downtown Summer Sounds concert series. Jenn Casillas, DSA’s vice president of public realm and ambassador operations spoke to that saying, “Our free outdoor concerts are a great way to experience summer with others in the heart of the city. We’re inviting everyone to come enjoy these talented local bands.”
