The Diablo IV Team has put their blood, sweat, and tears into the process of making the newest edition to the thrilling Diablo Saga. The Diablo IV creators labored to provide new intricacies enhancing their characters in the most artistic and hand-crafted way possible. Once the pen hit the paper, their ambitions evolved and solidified into the visual sneak peaks shared on the latest Developer update.
For those who haven’t played any of the Diablo adventures, they are action role-playing, dungeon-crawling, hack and slash video games. You can form a team with up to four friends to face the hell-born creatures with different character classes. Each character class has a unique skill tree that you continue to unlock as you level up throughout the storyline. A scaling difficulty setting, introduced in Diablo 3, allows players to scale health, damage, XP, and more while the monsters simultaneously get more difficult.
If you have an Xbox One, PS4, PC, or PS5/Xbox Series X, you will be able to play the next edition of the game, Diablo IV.
What’s New?
Dye System
What’s the best color to fight demons in? The choice is yours, as the dye system now allows you to change the color palette of your armor pieces. They chose the idea of doing a color pallet to allow for a grounded and realistic dyeing process. For instance, metals in your armor could be gold, iron, copper and other natural metallic colors while leather and cloth can still be styled by your favorite Diablo Dye.

Fine Details
Looking to record scenic clips of Demon-Demolition? Capture all the cinematic moments in richer detail with what John Mueller, the Diablo IV Art Director, deems as a “sweet spot” of detail that caters to the fine details as well as the isometric point of view.

New Enemies
It takes artistic minds to reimagine the characters of raw chaotic power added to the saga. Thankfully, the Diablo IV team has the right people to update the pantheon of atrocities from previous games. The new main creature, Lilith, is a beautiful hell fiend, born to destroy the world. With all the monsters the Diablo Team has created, you must wonder what would scare even the most horrific ones.
We really enjoy creating enemies, monsters, and demonic creatures that bring out an emotional response from our players, from fear or revulsion to the excitement of slaying them in true Diablo fashion.

New Classes & Character Customization
Finally you can do a deep dive into character customization! You can now change the character’s face, hairstyle, skin color, eyes, and body markings and facial hair (beards and eyebrows). Players can also add jewelry (nose piercing or earrings), makeup, and body markings such as tattoos or body paint. Some changes will be class specific, but many will be shared between classes allowing more possibilities to mix and match.

Final Thoughts
Fans are excited to see how the new Diablo IV will look and feel, but it’s hard to know when they will be able to because the game has no specific release date at the time of writing this. With all the detailed changes, it’s easy to understand why game development is taking some time. The next developer update should come out in October, so keep your eyes peeled!
