One of my favorite ice cream flavors, when I was a child, was Cookies and Cream. Now, unfortunately, my body doesn’t process dairy the same way. Having a cannabis strain though with the same name is an appropriate substitute. This delicious Cookies offshoot won first place in the hybrid category at the 2014 Denver Cannabis Cup. I can enjoy this without the deadly and extremely uncomfortable side effects.
The Cookies and Cream strain is a balanced down the middle sativa and indica hybrid. It comes from a combination of Starfighter and a Girl Scout Cookies phenotype. Created by Exotic Genetics the same company responsible for Wonkabars and Chocolatina. I’ve dabbed this strain about half a dozen times in the last year and every time it is just as good as the last. The high is perfectly balanced so that any level of smoker will be able to appropriately manage their consumption.
The nugs from this strain are comparable to pieces of popcorn. They do not follow an organized or clustered formation like some cannabis strains. They are on the darker green side of the color scale. Typically pistils shade, in this strain they are closer to a shade of yellow. They provide a contrast in color to the dense nugs of cannabis. The trichomes sporadically covering the nugs make them look like they were quickly frozen to give them a frosty appeal.
Users will notice a combination of nut and vanilla flavors while they smoke. The aroma lingers around for a while after the consumer is done smoking. You might want to have some Ozone or other air freshener present if you are trying to be discrete. Expect a potentially relaxed and happy feeling from the cannabis strain. It might hit the spot for balancing out stress and depression.
