Hailing from Selah, Washington, Coaster doesn’t let his small town upbringing hold him down. A nationally touring hip-hop artist, he once did 26 shows in just 29 days. Though he was basically running on no sleep, he always brought energy to the stage.
If he’s not on the stage rapping, he’s on the stage as a motivational speaker. He speaks on his past experiences with substance abuse and how he overcame and continues to fight. He is now six years sober and looks to provide hope and guidance for those who are struggling as well.
In early November of 2021, Coaster dropped his newest album, Wish Me Worries. The 10-track project plays on the struggle and turmoil of life while maintaining an aspect of hope and a silver lining. A temperate take on the dark memories of his past, songs like “End Of Time” take a look into the eyes of Coaster’s demons.

“I wish I had cheddar, it wasn’t sad and bad weather, mad clever rap shredder. Wish my mom loved my dad better.”
Opening line to Coaster’s track, “End Of Time”
In anticipation for Wish Me Worries, Coaster released the music video for “Dani Dennison,” which appears on the album. Dropping the album on Halloween, he plays on the great movie Hocus Pocus. Using his clever wordplay skills, he ties the reference together with his chorus, “this ain’t no Hocus Pocus, I’m young like Dani Dennison.”
Coaster Keeps it Real & Chill
If you rock with “Dani Dennison,” then another track off the album that might land a spot on your favorites is “Hot Girl Summer.” Kind of in that ‘chill hip-hop BBQ playlist’ lane, “Hot Girl Summer” is a break from some of the heavier tracks like “Elevator Music” and “End Of Time.”
One of the things I really enjoy about Coaster is that he is able to be diverse in his subject matter and talk about real shit. But, what makes it work so good for him is that he always keeps it chill and ambient like Jack Johnson or Kota The Friend.
Of course, even though it was a year ago, with the holidays around the corner, I can’t help but do a quick shout-out to Coaster’s “If Santa Was A Rapper” parody video, which went viral on Christmas Eve of last year. And it’s lowkey a banger.
Peep the album below and let us know what you think and which track was your favorite! Coaster is constantly on the road looking for new shows and opportunities anywhere he can get them. So, keep your eyes open, and if you see a flyer for a show near you, don’t miss that chance to check him out live.
