His diverse skill set elevates the entire album, because he provides many different looks from start to finish. One of the most striking elements heard throughout the project is the different use of the vocals. While Meadows is heard rapping throughout most of the project; his parts are surrounded by layered backing vocals, diverse timbres of featured singers, and intricate vocal sampling as well.

The first track on the album titled “Everybody Knows” is a perfect example of this element as the soulful featured vocals compliment his verses well. In addition, the third track “On To Something” demonstrates the masterful backing vocals which heightens Meadows’s lyrical material, especially in the chorus.

Another striking component to It All Happened is the message that he delivers throughout. From start to finish, he’s sincere and and honest while being upfront with his own and other people’s perception of his career. An example of this can be heard on “Wave Caps” with the lines “I just want my respect, I ain’t asking for much.”

A majority of the album has more mid-tempo R&B based instrumentals, but there are several uptempo bangers heard with “Weekend” and “Creepin’.” Especially with these two tracks, his rapping abilities are at an all time high due to his varying rhyme schemes and sharp delivery.

From listening through the entire project, early standout tracks include “Wave Caps”, “Weekend”, “Creepin'”, and “Black Ice” featuring Jeremy Cousar and Tango. Aside from the standout tracks, each song flows well with one another from looking at the project as a whole.

Overall, It All Happened is a diverse and engaging listen as Chris Meadows showcases his many different artistic abilities both behind the mic and the boards. The album includes many varying styles that are centered around R&B and hip-hop, but also incorporates creative and unique production throughout. Chris Meadows cannot be slept on, as his creativity and versatility as an artist is bound to push him a long way.
