Cosmos: A Personal Voyage was a 13-part documentary series debuting on PBS in 1980. Cosmos helped bring science education and Carl Sagan into the pop culture lexicon, allowing science entertainers and educators like Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson to help follow similar paths.
