You may know Black Tiger Sex Machine from songs like Zombie (feat. Panther) or their collab with their label-mate Apashe on The Grave (feat. Gabriella Hook). They have also released a full-length album, Futuristic Thriller. We actually recommend checking out this release too as you tune into the new single, “Creature.”
On April 30th this year, BTSM released a brand-new track, “Creature” featuring the vocalist JT Roach on their label KANNIBALEN Records. The reason I say you should check out their discography is that this track is a bit different from their normal sound.
That’s not to say it’s a total departure from the bass assaults this trio puts together though. “Creature” has some insane drops in it, and they are contrasted very well by JT Roach’s vocals, which are more soulful and heartfelt.

Bassmasters of the Church
Black Tiger Sex Machine started back in 2012, originating in Montreal. In a world with hundreds of DJs, standing out requires some classy technique. BTSM has made itself unforgettable by crafting and curating exceptional audiovisual experiences. Rather than just pumping out killer riddim, they have also inspired worlds, concepts, and technology with their live shows, album art, and music videos.
Last year, KANNIBALEN uploaded the Futuristic Thriller Tour Livestream to YouTube. This video is one of the most impressive examples of BTSM’s dedication to the experience at a live show. Featured in this performance is a barrage of cyberpunk and neo-psychedelic artwork ranging from live acting to 3D modeling.
Needless to say, this quantity of high-quality content is a full course meal for your eyes and is fitting for the music it accompanies. This one is definitely worth a watch as well…or three.
Such good visuals still don’t outshine the quality of the actual music, either. BTSM bass drops often have an affinity for triplet rhythms and merciless bass modulation. Underneath those three gleaming black helmets are brains that understand what makes a crowd bounce, and it really shows live.

BTSM’s own KANNIBALEN is dedicated to promoting bass talent and curating electronic music. Some noteworthy names in their discography include Sullivan King and HVDES among others. You can check out KANNIBALEN’s Radio Mix here.
