Who is CasinoATX? An artist who transcends the stage. Early Years & Collaborations

CasinoATX embarked on his musical journey in 1995 alongside Austin rapper, Nook, taking on the role of his hype man. Over the following three years, he honed his performance skills, and delved into the intricacies of the music business. Touring, recording, and performing alongside Nook was a collaborative experience that played a pivotal role in understanding the industry.

Rise to Fame

Between 2002 and 2010, CasinoAtx graced the stage at over 2,000 shows. He has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Lil Flip, Scarface, T.I., Lil John, Pitbull, and Snoop Dogg. He spear-headed the groups Black Hands, Gutta Gang, and L.O.P., to state wide, regional, and nationwide success. Beyond his impressive performances, he showed his versatility as a producer and writer. The groundbreaking 2007 hit single, “Game Time” is a prime example. This track found its place on the Billboard charting album, Mike Watts Vol. 1, solidifying Casino’s impact in the music industry.

CasinoATX went on to receive multiple awards, including the Austin Hip Hop Award for Best Single (2008 & 2010) and Best Live Performance (2008). The accolades didn’t stop there as he was inducted into the Texas Music Museum for his Rap/Hip-Hop contributions.

Overcoming Obstacles

In 2015, confronted with personal challenges, CasinoAtx took a hiatus from music that lasted almost five years. His resurgence in 2020 witnessed a dynamic collaboration with longtime friend Day Boy Supa, resulting in the album AfroFuturistic. This marked CasinoATx’s return to music full-time. He signed with CHHK and unveiled noteworthy albums such as The Street Nerd, & The Kush Doctor. CasinoAtx released a mixtape, BARZ 3.0, and an EP entitled The Red Cup Chronicles.

Subsequently, his most recent release, “Wish U Could,” produced by RawWitDaDaw features the Dirty 3rd Freestyle King Chalie Boy, adds a fresh chapter to his musical journey.

Beyond the Music

CasinoATX embodies a work ethic that operates like a well-oiled machine. When he’s not busy writing and releasing multiple music projects, he innovates into diverse lanes. Beyond his passion for music, CasinoATX proudly embraced his “Street Nerd” persona, giving birth to “Nerdy McFly.” This venture seamlessly merges nerd culture with hip-hop.
