Bay Area rapper Berner has dropped a new song with Wiz Khalifa titled “Brown Bag”, ahead of his new album Rico dropping September 7th. Over the past few years, he’s made major moves in the game and his upcoming album is clearly his biggest step yet.
While “Brown Bag” can be considered to be predominantly pop driven, the upbeat instrumental and infectious hook have positioned the song to be an instant hit. Berner’s lyrics are mostly surrounded by his mentality of being a rapper in the game while describing is role of dedication at the same time. Wiz Khalifa also shares this same sentiment with lyrics such as “No sleep when you grind all week / If you ain’t about money then we can’t even speak.”
