Becky G and Carlos Santana have earned a major nomination at the 2026 Latin GRAMMY Awards for their collaboration “Mi Gran Amor.”
The track has officially been nominated for Song of the Year, placing the collaboration among the nominees in one of the Latin Recording Academy’s General Field categories.
Released in May, “Mi Gran Amor” brings together two generations of Mexican and Mexican American artistry while highlighting the stories, sacrifices, and resilience of Latino communities in the United States.
The nomination recognizes songwriters Edgar Barrera, Becky G, Luis Miguel Gómez Castaño, Manuel Lorente, Daniel Rondón, and Carlos Santana.

“Mi Gran Amor” Celebrates Latino Communities
At the center of “Mi Gran Amor” is a story built around the experiences of Latino immigrant families and the communities they have established throughout the United States. Becky G and Santana use the collaboration to highlight everyday experiences while bringing their respective musical backgrounds together on the record.
The song was produced by Edgar Barrera and Carlos Santana, with Barrera also among its nominated songwriters. Its message extends into the official music video, which was filmed across Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Rather than separating the song’s themes from everyday life, the visual incorporates scenes intended to highlight the role Latino communities play across the country’s cultural and socioeconomic landscape.
The video also includes footage of Becky G speaking to 450 students at UC Santa Cruz’s annual Chicanx/Latinx Year-End Celebration, further connecting the record with the communities and experiences behind its message.
Becky G Continues BARAJA BENDITA Era
The Latin GRAMMY nomination arrives during another major period for Becky G following the release of her fifth studio album, BARAJA BENDITA.
The 17 track project represents another chapter in the singer’s career while continuing the personal and cultural themes that have increasingly shaped her music. Since releasing the album, Becky G has also stayed active beyond music.
She recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and made several appearances during New York Fashion Week, including the CFDA NYFW Opening Cocktail Party and Grace Ling SS27 Runway Show. Becky G also participated in events surrounding Carolina Herrera, AMIRI, and Casablanca as her presence continues to expand across music, fashion, and culture.
Now, “Mi Gran Amor” adds a Latin GRAMMY Song of the Year nomination to that run.

The 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards are scheduled for November 12, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Final voting begins October 1, and Latin Recording Academy members will determine this year’s winners.
