Seattle hip-hop artist, Macntaj, is bursting onto the scene in a major way with two new records.
His debut solo single ‘Lightwaves’ has over 6000 plays in ten days and dude is really pushing local hip-hop boundaries. Shouts to Qreepz for doing such a nice job of blending genres and slapping the $hit out the instrumental.
Macntaj – Lightwaves
The overall feel on this record is ridiculous. Deep 808s, rotating leads, and erie vocals dance around a hi-hat pattern that would satisfy anyone from Thugga to Jigga.
Macntaj slides right in somewhere in the middle with solid mic presence and punchlines, along with a touch of turn up.
You might also recognize Macntaj as 1/2 of the duo, Slightly Flagrant. They’re known for pushing every boundary with their music and this track stays consistent with that mindset.
Macntaj also recently worked with LEViTATE & Bassnectar to create a track called ‘Level Up’.
Electronic music has a ton of ‘legends’ and one of our favorites is the dubstep god, Bassnectar. Dude just released a new album full of bangers and ‘Level Up’ features Macntaj on the vocals with co-production from Seattle producer LEViTATE.
Honestly… This $hit slaps.
