It appears as though some of Lil Mosey’s local collaborations are starting to drop. 28AV just put out his summer classic “Banana” that features Mosey and rising South Seattle duo, Souf Souf.
The video’s setting is one of Mosey’s favorites—a lavish mansion pool party. You’ll see scantily-clad women splashing around and each artist flexing as the hyphy drums drive the flick that’s just under three minutes. The video saw its premiere through Complex last night, with an exclusive interview from 28AV, Souf Souf, and Mosey.
In the exclusive with Complex, 28AV speaks on co-directing the video with Oleg Kud, and how the bombastic collaboration came to be. He says, “…it all happened on the love and we all came together from different parts of the city to show the world what Seattle energy is about.”
Shotta Pistol from Souf Souf said, “this song was easy to make because AV and Mosey already set the tone, so we just came and dropped our Souf Souf sauce on it.” He went on to say the music video shoot was a whole different experience. “I’ve never worked with a camera over $30k so that was lit.” Souf Souf’s G-Baby said, “the set up was crazy. Was our first video with actual models in it. Kicking it with AV and Mosey just made it a comfortable fun Seattle vibe in L.A.”

Mosey chimed-in adding, “n****s from my city finna blow up.” The video uses tons of literal bananas to add color to each shot while the artists weave metaphors of unloading banana clips on the opposition. As each artist packs infectiously melodic bars into each verse, you can tell the energy at the video shoot was fun as hell. The production from @gezin really amplifies the vibes and features catchy Spanish guitar riffs and chords.
This is the perfect bop to fuel your drive to a socially-distanced beach visit, or while you’re turning up at home. “Banana” is a track that’s sure to take 28AV and Souf Souf to new and exciting places. Watch 28AV, Souf Souf, and Lil Mosey go bananas below.
