Summer may be coming to an end, but festival season certainly isn’t. Kicking off this fall’s festival streak is Austin City Limits Music Festival in, you guessed it, Austin, Texas. ACL takes place in the heart of the city at Zilker Park on the first two weekends of October, the 1st-3rd and 8th-10th. The diverse lineup features over 100 artists performing between 8 different stages.
Even if you can only make one of the weekends, all of the headliners and many of the artists will be performing on both weekends. Miley Cyrus, George Strait, Billie Eilish, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Stevie Nicks are set to headline Austin City Limits. Other popular acts that will be at both weekends include Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Harlow, Modest Mouse, and MGK.
If you’re a hip-hop fan, Austin City Limits has you substantially covered. Apart from the previously mentioned, you’ll also find Doja Cat, Polo G, Toosii, Tierra Whack, Freddie Gibbs, and more. If you’re mainly looking to rave, you’ll be happy to hear that Alison Wonderland, Chris Lake, Madeon, and Channel Tres will be at ACL.

If you’re dying to see Chet Faker, BIA, St. Vincent, or Payday, you’ll definitely want to choose weekend one. But, if you must see Jon Batiste, Lane 8, or Aaron Frazer, weekend two is probably your best choice. Make sure to take a close eye at the lineup because some artists may be performing both weekends, but just different days.
You may notice an empty spot for the second headliner on Sunday. This spot was originally taken by DaBaby, until he made homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami, causing him to be removed from many other festivals including upcoming Music Midtown.

Aside from the musical acts, you’ll find a lineup of some of Austin’s best food options, as well as favorites from surrounding areas. Food choices come from over 35 locals chefs, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. And aside from those highlights (music and food), Austin City Limits is family friendly and has plenty of activities for children.
Regardless of which weekend you attend, or if you attend both, you’re almost guaranteed to experience some of the best acts in music today and make lifelong memories. Unfortunately, almost every single pass is sold out. But, you’re in luck if you are looking to spend $2350 on a hotel package that includes a 3-day ticket.
