Aurora Cannabis Inc., a Canadian cannabis company, will be making history as they open an enormous flagship store in West Edmonton Mall, the largest mall in North America. The 11,000 square foot store will serve as a retail destination and global center for everything that has to do with cannabis. This includes cannabis education, discovery, and community engagement.
Aurora has taken elements from both retail and immersive experiential spaces to entice visitors in from around the world to explore and learn. They’ll also be able to participate in a rotating calendar of engaging programming and unique events.
Edmonton is home to Aurora Cannabis Inc. so it’s no surprise that they chose to open their flagship there. Terry Booth, CEO of Aurora said “this space is a reflection of Aurora’s core values, a celebration of trust, and cements our position as an innovative industry leader.” He went on to say that “we invite new and experienced consumers alike to come learn and explore.” Among the many other firsts this space will be experiencing, it will be the first cannabis retailer to operate in a mall of this size. Annually, West Edmonton sees 30 million visitors within its walls.

42 Cannabis Brands Available At Aurora’s Flagship Store
The 42 brands that Aurora houses will line the shelves of the store. Some of these include San Rafael ‘71, Alta Vie, Whistler Cannabis Co, and Woodstock. It will also host a bevy of world-class researchers, creators, and cultural influencers to lead sessions with artists, chefs, local innovators, and experts in cannabis.
