I recently hopped back on the vape pen train and I have been pleasantly surprised with the results. The technology has gotten better since I gave up on them around three years ago.
Better batteries paired with higher quality cartridges and concentrates have seriously enhanced the experience. Not to mention, prices are dropping and you can get a good setup for $50 to $60. I got an Optimum battery with Oleum’s Aruba strain cartridge.
The Optimum battery is $20 and has three different heat settings for a more personalized vaping experience. Oleum’s Cartridge’s are usually $40, but many shops have $5 off deals on certain days. Be sure to call and ask your local recreational shop if they have deals on these the day yo ugo in.
It’s hard to find genetic information on the Aruba strain, but Bhodi Seeds has it as a stoney sativa. That’s exactly how I’d quantify the high I got after just three or four hits of the vape pen. The high crept up on me and hit my eyes and my face right away.
The Aruba strain gave me a focused high that made me want to create and stimulate my brain. I read an entire issue of the Atlantic in one sitting. I was surprised at the long term focus this strain provided me, but have a jug of water handy.
This strain gave me the worst cotton mouth and dry eyes I’ve had in a while. My face was as dry as an Aruba beach, maybe that’s an influence for the name. I would say the high was completely worth the dry face. I suggest this strain for long study sessions, reading, writing, creating etc. It’s great for staying singularly focused.
