On a recent episode of the Respect My Region Oregon Cannabis Podcast, Brian of TJ’s Dispensaries in Oregon shared that the popular Portland dispensaries known as Arcanna, and TJ’s on Powell, have united and are officially operating as Arcanna at TJ’s. This is a new super store located at 7827 SE Powell Blvd inside the longtime TJ’s Dispensaries footprint.
Instead of closing down entirely, the Arcanna concept moved under the TJ’s umbrella, merging menus, teams, and communities of fans. Arcanna’s dispensary in Southeast Portland built a reputation as an “industry store,” a place where OLCC cardholders, budtenders, growers, and processors could walk in and access deeper discounts than the average retail setup.
For a lot of cannabis workers in Oregon, Arcanna was part of the weekly routine. That chapter has shifted in a big way.
With the move to Arcanna at TJ’s, that industry focus stays intact. OLCC workers with valid credentials can still access elevated discounts on participating brands, and non-industry shoppers continue to benefit from TJ’s standard daily 20 percent off model.

For Portland customers, the change didn’t come with fireworks. It came with continuity.
Arcanna at TJ’s Keeps the Industry Store Model Alive
Arcanna built its name by serving the people who work in cannabis. The original model offered up to 40 percent off participating brands for verified industry members, while everyday customers still received competitive pricing and access to a strong menu. That approach made Arcanna stand out in a crowded Portland dispensary market.
In a state like Oregon, where margins are tight and competition is heavy, that kind of discount structure is crazy important. It builds loyalty. It keeps industry workers circulating through one storefront. And it reinforces the idea that the people working in cannabis deserve access too.
Arcanna at TJ’s hours run daily from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM, giving customers flexibility when they’re stopping in before work, during the afternoon, or later in the evening. The Powell Boulevard corridor has long been a reliable retail stretch in Southeast Portland. TJ’s already has strong brand recognition in the area, and by folding Arcanna into that space, the transition didn’t need reinvention, just integration.
Known for wide selection, strong daily deals, and a loyalty program that gives customers 1 percent back on purchases, TJ’s has always leaned into consistency.
For customers who were used to Arcanna’s vibe, the shift means familiar product access inside a slightly different shell. For TJ’s regulars, it means a deeper menu and expanded discount model layered into the experience.
Arcanna brought something different, an industry-first focus, heavy discount participation from brands, and a reputation among cannabis workers for keeping pricing aggressive. Together, Arcanna at TJ’s blends those strengths with the longterm loyalty program in TJ’s model.

Customers now walk into one space that carries the combined menu and promotional structure of both brands. Flower, pre rolls, concentrates, vapes, edibles, tinctures, and accessories all remain part of the rotation, but the volume and variety have increased.
Here are some of our favorite brands currently on the shelves:
Bonsai
Drops
Kalya & Community
Fox Hollow Flora
Hapy Kitchen
Magic Kitchen
Willamette Valley Alchemy
Wyld
Oregon’s cannabis market is one of the most mature and competitive in the country. Portland alone has hundreds of licensed dispensaries. For a store to survive long term, it has to offer something beyond location.
Arcanna offered incredible culture, great staff, aggressive discounts, and industry alignment. TJ’s offers scale, stability, and retail longevity. Bringing them together feels less like a marketing play and more like a strategy that benefits customers.
The staff and customer-facing experience remain grounded in what Portland cannabis shoppers expect: knowledgeable budtenders, transparent pricing, and a menu that reflects what’s actually moving in the Oregon market.
In a state where cannabis workers make up a significant portion of daily dispensary traffic, keeping that industry discount ecosystem alive helps maintain the broader community network that Portland cannabis was built on.
The Powell Boulevard location now carries the Arcanna identity within the TJ’s structure, maintaining extended hours, daily discounts, and loyalty rewards while preserving the industry-focused pricing model that made Arcanna relevant in the first place.
To explore current menus, review daily deals, or verify industry discount participation, customers can visit Arcanna at TJ’s online and browse what’s currently in stock before heading to the Powell Boulevard location.
