If his second full-length in the last five months wasn’t enough, an accompanying North American tour will complement the new album. Cheeky Andy will perform alongside Thundercat, Earl Sweatshirt, Noname, and Mac Demarco will kick off May 7th.
The album art and track list feature some tantalizing guest spots and collaborations. Motown soul legend Smokey Robinson makes a cameo, as does 90’s R&B songstress Brandy, and West Coast G-Funk pioneer Nate Dogg appears posthumously. The lead single is a bouncy, funky, saxophone-laced jam, “King James.”
The Best Teef In the Game tour will include stops at famed venues like New York’s Madison Square Garden and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. Signaling .Paak’s ascension as one of the most bankable touring acts of the moment.
.Paak will arrive in the Northwest on June 20th at WaMu Theater with Thundercat and Earl Sweatshirt. Then he’ll be heading south to Portland on June 22nd to play at the McMenamins Amphitheater. Ventura is scheduled for release April 12th via Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment.
