Alya Releases New Album “Ten Years of Solitude” – All Profits Going To Naked Heart Foundation

Every day we get a ton of music submissions from musicians with all kinds of different backgrounds and stories. We’re always searching for artists with a unique message or something that really helps set them apart. Alya is one of these artists and each of the songs on her new album “Ten Years of Solitude” has varying messages.

Described as an adept innovator of sounds, Alya’s work can’t really be defined by just one or two genres. Her projects transcend the realms of Indie, Pop, and Folk, diving into other genres too. With “Ten Years of Solitude”, you can hear at least 5-7 different influences with 2-3 of them coming from various types of Electronic music and Pop.

When I first saw the press release, what stood out was this section, “Don’t judge Ten Years of Solitude through the prism of the musical styles and genres. Judge it with your heart. It is a story about becoming an artist. It is not a business card. I have spent the last two years in the studio putting together this puzzle of self-acceptance. Each song in the album has a story; they are each quite different and diverse, but together they carry a strong message — you can do it, even if you are just the only soldier in the field.”

Born in Russia and now living in Los Angeles, Alya also recently announced her support for the Naked Heart Foundation. All profits from her first album “Ten Years of Solitude” will go towards helping kids with special needs and learning disabilities.
