The Boundless Terp Pen is small, yet mighty. It delivers big, flavorful dabs at an affordable price point. Convenience is the name of the game here. With this concentrate vaporizer being roughly the same length as a ball point pen, you can take it on-the-go and be able to enjoy your favorite dabs anywhere. It’s also incredibly easy to use and perfect for controlling the size of your hit. By simply dipping the coils directly into your dab container, then inhaling, you can take as big or as small of a dab as you want instantly. With no buttons, no torches, and a long battery life this is honestly a no-brainer to have for on-the-go dabbing.
A good first impression for the quality of this product is the packaging it comes in; which is sleek and feels nice in your hand. The box could easily double as an ideal carrying case. After taking out the extra inserts, you are left with enough room to fit a gram or two of oil. Although, I tried with some of my containers, and I guess I buy a lot of brands with big containers because only one of mine would actually fit in the box along with the pen itself.
The weight of the device was a pleasant surprise. When I pulled the Boundless Terp Pen from out of the box, it felt substantial and solid in my hand. I didn’t feel like I was going to break it, but I also didn’t feel intimidated by it. The teal color coating was smooth to the touch and warmer than the exposed stainless-steel mouthpiece.
The magnetic cap is a really intriguing feature for me. I’ve used other nectar collectors and similar electronic concentrate vaporizers that had a cover. With the Terp Pen, however, the cover can also be used as a small storage place for oil. So, if you’re someone looking to sip slowly on a small amount of concentrate throughout the day, you can load up the Terp Pen cap, replace it, then slide it in your pocket for quick access throughout the day.
For heavy users, loading up the cap just isn’t sensible for larger amounts of concentrates. However, a container of oil isn’t that big nor heavy so throwing one in your bag or pocket is pretty easy. The portability of the Terp Pen makes it super easy to still get those fat dabs without having to use a rig. Although, the mouthpiece is tapered to fit most 10mm or 14mm rigs, so you could use this pen with a rig, if you’d like.
Personally, I wouldn’t use this for at-home dabbing. The coils won’t last long if this is your main device for concentrates. You can, however, buy replacement coils. The manufacturer, Boundless Technology, offers a 2-pack of ceramic coils for $9.99. That is fairly cheap, but if used all the time you’ll be replacing your coils every week or two. But, if you prefer concentrates to flower and want to be discreet in public, or want to introduce an inexperienced user to dabbing, the Boundless Terp Pen is great. At $29.99 for the base model, it’s an affordable and effective electronic concentrate vaporizer with a pleasant user experience.
